Trend Service
  • Hold a strong working relationships with three trend consultants
  • Trend consultants forecast home décor trends and consumer trends
  • Customized trend reports to specified retailer and consumer demographics
  • Provide seasonal color analysis

 

 

 

Product Development

  • Work with vendor’s design team to elevate design submissions
  • Act as an editor before submitting designs to Target to ensure design work is in line  with Target’s objectives and consumer tastes
  • Strive to reduce vendor sample development costs through multiple rounds of design plate editing before sampling
  • Identify and create POG opportunities to  generate incremental sales, i.e. endcaps
  • Navigate Grovesite on a daily basis to capture all key dates, comments  and actionable tasks 

Merchandising 

  • Create compelling POG presentations to drive sales and profitability
  • Develop new and innovative ways to offer visually appealing store presentations that maximize sales
  • Showroom has 70’ of permanent gondola with additional gondola available as required

Sales Reports and Analysis

  • Navigate Target POL and Info Retriever to track sales and inventory data
  • Project weekly sales trends, compare it to Target’s forecast and work with Business Analysts to chase into and cancel out of inventory
  • Minimize MD liability through accurate analysis of sales trends
  • Generate weekly sales reports
  • Create annual sales plans

Negotiating

  • Act as a liaison to negotiate win-win business opportunities for vendors  and Target
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure assortment offerings are in line with Target’s financial objectives
  • Negotiate margin assistance and payment terms
